Well integrated into an organic olive grove, and sustainably made, it is well-suited for people seeking serenity, an earthy feeling, and aesthetics.
There is lots of light, high ceilings, a soft smell of wood, patios, and a garden with olive trees, herbs, and clay soil.
Within a short walking distance to restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and markets.
Celebrated beaches are accessible either on moderate walks or very short drives. Monasteries, wine tasting, and hiking nearby.
Cottages and location
The idea behind the cottage is to find yourself in a contemporary sanctuary, an organic olive grove surrounded by olives and carobs, in a design wooden house with virtually no traffic yet close to beaches, taverns, and sights.
You can sit in the hot midday sun in the garden, read a book on the shaded patio or under a tree, contemplate the singing of the cicadas, or enjoy the colours of the sunset with a glass of wine. Our kitchen offers a comfortable cook with a tree view and the olive oil provided will be from the surrounding trees. Our low-height king-size beds will give you that good night's sleep you longed for. All paintings and art work in the cottage are originals.
The cottage is made of wood, fully furnished and equipped single-story house of 51 m². It has two patios of 9 and 24 m² each. There is a large garden with trees and herbs which is shared.
It is within a short walking distance (10 min) to Chorafakia village where there are restaurants, bars, pharmacy, and markets. The nearest beach, Tersanas (900 m), is a 20-min walk. You can move locally on foot for eating, drinking, shopping, or swimming. However, for visiting more distant places, it is better to have a car or motorbike as public transport is scarce. Celebrated beaches such as Stavros, Kalathas, and Seitan Limania are very short drives (5-15 min drive). Chania city (12 km) and airport (10 km) are within a 15-min drive range.
Agia Triada and Gouverneto monasteries are a 10-min drive, where there is also wine tasting.
Hiking the Stavros mountains leads to small pirate bays, Christian caves, and cultural hikes.
The cottage is stair-free including a walk-in shower, as well as free readily available parking. Wi-Fi is available in the cottage and patios.
Within the olive grove, there are two semi-detached wooden cottages, each with its own entrances and patios and minimal overlap. Within the olive farm there is also a main house further away.

About the neighbourhood
The cottages are located in an olive grove distancing 250 m from Chorafakia village, connected via an easily accessible non-asphalted road. There virtually is little to no traffic around the property. The cottages are surrounded by either natural landscapes with thyme and carob trees or low-intensity agricultural landscapes with mainly olive trees. There are distant mountain views to the White Mountains as well as Stavros mountain.
Within a short walking distance from the house (10 min), there are restaurants with diverse menus, a pool bar, a coffee-bar serving also breakfast, a pharmacy, ATM, and markets.
There are mild to moderate hiking trails on Stavros mountains. Walking through agricultural back-roads lead to Agia Triada monastery where among others there is wine and olive oil tasting.
